Full of life

By Walt Whitman (1819-1892)

Full of life now, compact, visible,
I, forty years old the eighty-third year of the States,
To one a century hence or any number of centuries hence,
To you yet unborn these, seeking you.
When you read these I that was visible am become invisible,
Now it is you, compact, visible, realizing my poems, seeking me,
Fancying how happy you were if I could be with you and become your comrade;
Be it as if I were with you. (Be not too certain but I am now with you.)

Gratitude

"When you give something to someone, obviously it is no longer yours. When you give the greengrocer money in exchange for a pound of cherries you are buying, you have a bit less money in your purse. But on the psychic plane, it is different: anything you give that is good and luminous makes you richer. Yes, and when you feel gratitude toward people, even if they give you nothing, you receive something. Does that surprise you? No, there is nothing surprising about it.
Gratitude is the opening of your heart and your soul, and by opening up in this way you receive everything beautiful and good that nature and life have to offer. Even if such gifts were not intended for you in particular, you will receive them, whereas those who are ungrateful receive nothing, even if the gifts were meant for them. Be grateful, and you will have the feeling that the whole of heaven is opening up for you. Even
if you have no reason for giving thanks, say many times a day, ‘Thank you, thank you, thank you, Lord…’"

Do you agree? Why? Why not?

1-Friendship
If you happened to show up on my door step crying, I would care!
If you called me and asked me to pick you up because something happened,
I would come!
If you had one day left to live your life, I would want to be part of
that last day!
If you needed a shoulder to cry on, I would give you mine!

2-Do you know what the relationship is between your two eyes?
They blink together,
they move together,
they cry together,
they see things together,
and they sleep together,
but they never see each other;
....that's what friendship is.

a) What does friendship mean to you?
b) What do you think of these two poems?

Let´s read and think!

1-God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
the Courage to change the things I can;
and the Wisdom to know the difference.

1) What do you think of this prayer?

2-We never get what we want,
We never want what we get,
We never have what we like,
We never like what we have.
And still we live and love.
That's life..

2) Do you agree?

3-The best kind of friends,
Is the kind you can sit with
Never say a word,
And then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

3) Do you have many friends?

4-It's true that we don't know
What we've got until it's gone,
But it's also true that we don't know
What we've been missing until it arrives.

4) What do you think?

5-Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll love you back!
Don't expect love in return;
Just wait for it to grow in their heart,
But if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours.

5) Do you agree?

6-Don't go for looks; they can deceive.
Don't go for wealth; even that fades away.
Go for someone who makes you smile,
Because it takes only a smile to
Make a dark day seem bright.
Find the one that makes your heart smile!

6) Why do you think looks can deceive and wealth can fade away?

7-May you have
Enough happiness to make you sweet,
Enough trials to make you strong,
Enough sorrow to keep you human,
And enough hope to make you happy.

7) Do you think that happiness can make people sweet and sorrow can keep people human?

8-Always put yourself in others' shoes.
If you feel that it hurts you,
It probably hurts the other person, too.

8) Have you ever put yourself in others´shoes?

9-The happiest of people
Don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

9) What´s your opinion on this?

10-When you were born, you were crying
And everyone around you was smiling.
Live your life so that when you die,
You're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

10) What do you think?

How to get through life

Sleep as much as you can ....

Read books that you enjoy...

Play with simple things...

Do whatever you want -- Whenever you want...

Look for affection when you need it...

Get serious once in a while...

Forget about diets...

Show some affection...

Get angry once in a while....

Change your looks...

Above all, be happy,

Regardless of what Your challenges may be...

Have a great life!

What do you think of this video?
Is there a glimmer of hope?

An Irish prayer

May God give you...
For every storm, a rainbow,
For every tear, a smile,
For every care, a promise,
And a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends,
A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh, a sweet song,
And an answer for each prayer

What do you think of this prayer?
Could you think of your own prayer?
