I can tell you that in London, you can see everywhere "fish and chips" to eat to take away.

For example, if I would live in London I would send a post to a shop to book a mobile phone, but if you would live in the united states, would send an email to a store to book a cellphone

to post = to mail (it is not related to e-mail but letters)
For example if i would live in london and i go to the beach for a free time, i have to say: I´m going to the beach on holiday. If I would live in EE UU, I have to say: I´m going to the beach on vacancy.
