A proverb is an orally transmitted statement or saying which expresses truths about life.
1- Do you know any proverbs? Do you use them in every day life?
2- Could you provide different situations to show the meaning of the following proverbs?
a-"A barking dog never bites"
b-"Too many cooks spoil the broth"
c-"Many hands make light work"
1. Yes, I know a lot of proverbs but I don´t use them in my every day life because they are not necessary except in special occasions.
ReplyDelete2. a- It means that the fact that someone threats you doesn´t mean that it is dangerous or that it is going to proceed.
b- It means that in some situations you can obtain better results working alone than working with a lot of people that make all the process more difficult.
c- It means that in some situations the possibility of working with a lot of people can help to finish the work faster or make it easier.

1. Yes, I know some proverbs but I don´t use them very often, the thing is that you must know when you need to use it, and in some cases I used them in the wrong way.
2. a- It means that not only if someone is fighting (for example) he or she is going to be aggressive or dangerous with you.
b- It means that in some cases if you work by yourself you're going to gain a better result, instead of working with a group of people who could make things difficult.
c- It means that in certain cases working with more people is better because you can get to a better result or even make things faster.
.2. a- It means that if someone is fighting (for example) he or she is NOT going to be aggressive or DO SOMETHING dangerous

ReplyDeleteYes, I know many proverbs as:
"If you fall seven times, get up eight"
or "The first time you deceive me, is your fault, the second time, the fault is mine."
I like a lot, and I use in my daily life.

1.It means that people who criticize other people, never do something positive. only say bad, but do nothing.
2.It means that sometimes, many people involved in the same problem can ruin and complicate the work.
3.It means that when the tasks are well organized, work becomes smaller, and faster.
